I was really suprised that i couldn't add mods to the bonus items in Nightfall:S like i could in Factions, not sure about Prophecies since i didn't get the CE of it.
You pay good money for the CE and you can't add what mods you like on the special weapons, that's just insane to me.

So please bring it back Anet!

I don't remember why they changed this, but it was better the way it was. I've been wanting access to the GotY weapons since it was released. I asked Gaile about adding upgrade options to the store a few times, but she never gave a definite answer.

When the option was available I was please.

don't make them inscriptable, just the ability to add prefix and suffix mods, heads/wrappings, strings/grips, hilts/pommels, etc.

It's still very helpful to have them as they are, but not being able to upgrade them with fortitude mods is rather annoying.

I agree with blood - The only decent bonus item I have to show off and be useful at the same time is the Chimeric Prism. + 5 energy shield ftw

Decided to send a question to guildwars support about this, I guess i'm not the first, at least I hope so...
Maybe they can give some news about this, I'm still kind of pissed i wasted money on guildwars items I cannot use, even though i'ts just a small amount.

i'll update when i have an anwser.

edit: sigh, i get this standard response, while i even mentioned and linked this topic in my question:

Won't harm anyone. Can be done. There is no reason not to make it.

and in the mean time might as well put them inscriptable, wont effect the price since their already customize, and just give us a greater degree of customisation.

I seem to recall a post where Gaile said removing it was unintended and she would look into putting it back in, but IIRC that was at least a few months ago now. What's up with that?

Well, I actually reported this problem about bonus items being unable to upgrade after new update of Nightfall released to GW tech support 3 months ago. I got my reply saying that my information has been sent to developers for review. Obviously this is consider a bug on these bonus items that need to be fix which we'll most likely have to wait for couple more months or even until the next expansion of GW released before this problem is fix.

Yeah I remeber moding the dagger that came with Factions pre-release box, thinking that was ace. I got the weapon pack upgrade anyway because its only £2.99. And yeah bring back the modibility will make load of people buy the upgrade as well.

C'mon that nevermore bow is begging to be upgrade by a better mod.

I bought the update some while back, but never even figured out how to get the weapons at all.
Would someone mind telling me how to do that?

Oh... by the way... thats not to say that I plan on actually DOING it before a change like this comes into effect. Gimme the mods, biatch!

When you're in any town/out post, in the chat box type in /bonus. You can spam it as many times as you like.
